A new study takes a look at the most expensive NBA Arenas in the United States of America.
Inflation is eating into everyone’s bottom line. According to a new study, the economy trends may cause some empty stadium seats at National Basketball Association (NBA) arenas across the country.
The survey found 54% of Americans likely won’t go to an NBA game this year due to inflation. Nearly 1 in 3 say the cost of food and alcohol impacts their decision on whether or not to attend a game.
By analyzing the costs of tickets, food, drinks, and parking, the report also ranks the most and least expensive game-day experiences by team.
NBA Arena Expenses
Most Expensive: New York Knicks ($261.03), Golden State Warriors ($219.13), Los Angeles Lakers ($188.52)
Least Expensive: Charlotte Hornets ($67.11), Memphis Grizzlies ($69.17), Detroit Pistons ($73.42)
Additionally, 29% are still willing to try their luck and say they would bet on a NBA game if an arena had an in-house sportsbook. 1 in 3 say they have bet on NBA games before and 20% believe having an in-house sportsbook would make attending a game more enjoyable.
